Meet Catherine

​

Catherine is an experienced Clinical Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor with over 20 years of experience in both public child and mental health services and private practice settings. Throughout her career, she has worked with clients across the lifespan, providing compassionate and effective support to help them navigate a variety of challenges.

 

Catherine has a particular focus on supporting new parents as they adjust to the complexities of parenting, as well as assisting individuals aged 16 and above who are experiencing a range of mental health concerns.

With extensive experience in community mental health and early intervention child health services, Catherine is well-equipped to help clients manage a wide array of emotional and psychological difficulties. She has also collaborated with the education sector to assist schools in better supporting students facing mental health challenges.

In addition to her clinical work, Catherine is a experienced clinical supervisor, offering supervision for clinical endorsement. She brings her extensive clinical experience to her supervisory role, helping others develop their skills and reach their professional goals.

 

Catherine’s approach to therapy is person-centred, emphasising the creation of a safe and supportive environment where clients can work toward their therapy goals. With a deep commitment to empathy and understanding, she draws on a range of therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), to tailor her approach to each client’s unique needs.

 

Her areas of particular interest include anxiety disorders, adjustment difficulties, and mood disorders, and she utilises her broad clinical experience to provide comprehensive, evidence-based support.
